Awareness of the sounds that letters make and the ability to connect sounds with letters
Basic reading comprehension skills “Kindergarten - Second Grade Common Core Standards” this is perfect for reinforcement.
Kindergarten - Second Grade dolch/sight word recognition
Name writing
Reading and writing sentences using sight words
Print awareness
The most important part is your child will be taught Common Core Kindergarten - Second grade material by a certified teacher with reading specialist skills. Children will also be provided a free snack and given 30 minutes of interactive educational free time.
Where will the sessions be held? Our sessions will be held at Legal Aid and Defender, INC. 613 Abbott Street Detroit, MI 48226 What are the times and dates of the program? Dates TBD but it will be in the month of August. What is the cost for the Literacy Workshop?
Each session is only $15, payment is due during drop off
